Hi..... um yeah I tried it to, first as you said and then with the pencil tied to something else and the paper underneath, the results were of course: it stood still. My thoughts didn't seem to be able to move the pencil, although I tried reeaally hard ;-)

what is proven is that when i hold the pencil above the paper, my thoughts are connected to my hand and it will move tiny tiny bits at the direction i am thinking of, can't see why that is so amazing... yeah sure, it proves that even though we may not think that our thoughts affect our actions or such, they do, very subtle so we will not notice.. but that's nothing new in my opinion? :/

[...] Repetition and emotion seem to make things appear faster in the physical world. The more a thought is repeated (and the more emotion is placed behind a particular thought), the faster the results appear. At least, this has been my experience. Source [...]

I tried it with my hand and it worked. Then, I suspended it from something by itself and it just stood still. Looks like your hand moves it slightly even if you think you're not moving.

Hmm, maybe. According to some physicists, the presence of an observer collapses the wave function into a unique state, and the experimenter's expectations can affect the outcome of an experiment. http://www.physicsforums.com/archive/index.php/t-106817.html

But even if the motion is produced by the subconscious mind, it still proves that the mind (i.e. subconscious thought) can affect the outcome of an experiment by provoking the action that is needed to bring it to pass.

Unless you suspend the pencil where you are not touching it, all you have proven is that the subconscious mind has remarkable powers to fool the experimenter. In other words, since you (holding the pencil) can subconsciously determine the outcome of the "experiment" it is totally invalid.

Wow... I must try this out !

Thoughts are energy that we send out to the universe. That's the basis on what the Law of Attraction is about.

Thanks for sharing this experiment.

Love,
Alison
